I’m super excited to announce that I have been nominated for Comic Creator of the Year in the 2016 Philly Geek Awards coming up on October 16th. The Philly Geek Awards are an awards ceremony honoring outstanding achievements in Philadelphia’s vibrant geek community. I’m honored to be in the running alongside so many amazing creative people, including my friends Nicole and Anthony, whose game Resistor, is up for an award as well.
If you’re here from the Philly Geek Awards site, HELLO! Welcome to my comic. Be sure to check out my other stuff on Boxplot, The Nib, or Fusion. I also have a Tumblr full of sexy Totoro drawings, for those of you with discerning tastes.
As always, click that Patreon link for updates, artwork, story time, and more.Read More »
No doubt you have noticed that between-chapter breaks have been running a bit longer than usual. I apologize for that. It’s especially nerve-wracking, as I’ve been getting more and more messages from people picking it up for the first time. Like, “There’s more coming! I promise! Ah!”Read More »

First of all, apologies for the wait. Second, a sincere thank you to everybody who wrote in to tell me how much you enjoy SuRe, and how much you looked forward to seeing it return. Thirdly, a bit of a plug:
Over the break, I launched my official Patreon campaign. It was a year in the making, and I have to give many thanks to Cole at Patreon for holding my hand through the process. I had been burned a bit by my Kickstarter that launched this comic, so I was hesitant to re-enter the world of crowdfunding. I hope, with the help of Patreon, we can have a relationship that’s a lot less stressful for all involved. Check out my page, where you can support all my work, including SuRe, and in return, you’ll have access to my work-in-progress blog, goofy extra stuff, and even new books as they are published. Current backers already had an early peek at the sketches for this page. So if you’ve ever been curious at what goes into making each SuRe update, consider backing today!Read More »

During this pilot period, I had a chance to try out a lot of different narrative techniques, drawing styles, and strip lengths. Some of it worked, some of it didn’t. I decided that once this pilot period was over, I’d take some time to reflect on what I learned about the comic, its characters, and its audience. That’s what I’m going to be talking about in this post…Read More »
